![]() ![]() If 2Pac Were Alive Today Where Would He Be ? letter #14 Tupac Shakur was one of the greatest poets to ever pick up the mic as he expressed his pain and happiness in every lyric he wrote. He kept it real as he spoke of his hardships growing up as a kid and how rough life really was for his family and himself. Pac survived a struggling childhood as he was left at a very young age with no father figure to look upon. His mother was a drug addict for a time period which made it even harder for him to keep his head up. But Tupac was stronger than that. He knew that he had to grow up and From the first time I ever heard Pac with Digital Underground, I felt that he had what it took to become a lethal lyricist. When Tupac finally went solo and dropped the debut album,"2Pacolypse Now", I realized that you could close your eyes and paint a vivid picture in your mind thru his lyrics. A true poet that combined every aspect of real life for those that grew up through the struggle. As the years went on, Tupac's albums just got better and better. It was around this time that Pac had gotten the image of a street thug with such hit albums as "Strictly 4 My Niggaz","Me Against the World", and the first ever double CD from a rap artist,'All Eyes On Me". This marked the beginning of Pac's untimely demise as he had become a part of the Death Row Records family, headed by Suge Knight. It was Knight who would be the last to see the Immortal one conscious as he was gunned down in LasVegas following the Tyson-Seldon fight. His untimely death sent shockwaves throughout the hip-hop community and to fans all around the world. If Tupac were still alive, not just in spirit, he would have taken the rap game to an entirely new level. No disrespect to DMX, but I feel that if Pac were around today, they would be beefin'. I feel as if X is trying to be the east coast version of the late great Tupac Shakur, but it ain't happening. Tupac has the most unique style of rap as nobody I've heard can compare to him. His sound is very unique, one that no other rapper can achieve. I feel that Pac would have become a big motion picture star if he were still alive as his acting made you feel as if you were going through what his character(s) were experiencing. His music would have been brought to new heights as he would have probably gotten off Death Row and either established his own label or perhaps he might have made up with Dr. Dre and reunited with the rest of the former Death Row inmates such as Snoop Dogg,Nate Dogg,Kurupt, and Daz Dillinger. I think if Pac would have never died, we would have never had to part ways with Biggie Smalls either. Biggie and Pac were both on top of the rap industry at the time of their deaths and once former best friends. All in all, I feel that Suge Knight ruined the life and career of Tupac Shakur, one that had much promise for years to come, and brought a man who was as high up as you could get down.R.I.P Tupac "Makaveli" Shakur, the greatest poet/rapper of all-time. Your knowledge could last a lifetime and teach the young in the struggle to always keep their head up and stay on top of their game to survive.R.I.P. to Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G.,Christopher Rios aka Big Punisher,Big L,Freaky Tah,my boy T.J.--ain't a day goes by where I don't think about ya.I'll see you when I get there. My boy Shawn--it's been 3 years but I still hold on,and finally my boy Luke--nobody can take away the times and memories we went through growing up.Peace and One to all.
