First off, let me give major props to EMI records for putting out a radio version of this album. The reason being is that I play at least three songs from Heather's B album every Friday Night on my show. Next let me give major props to my man Kenny Parker, the producer of this album.. The man did like Man Digga and 'came through'.. Finally let me give props to one of hiphop's Queen bees ..Heather B.. She gets props for stickin' with it.. for steppin' above her critics who claimed she was wack on the mic and her style was bland.. Somebody please.. ask those folks what they were smoking when they said she didn't have skillz...

Takin' Mine is a nice album that shows what happens if you take a bare bones yet skillful approach to making a rap album.. Here Heather rolls fierce lyrics over beats that you've longed to hear..Standout songs include..Da HeartBreaka...Sendin' 'Em Back and Mad Bent...

Overall I have to give Heather B's album my endorsement.. It's well worth the purchase...
