It includes a nice sensuous love poem by Ursula Rocker called 'Circe'. Mos Def is featured on a jazzy flavored groove that praises God and spirituality. It clearly shows his versatility and depth. Mind Over Matter | 0 | Ground Control | Rap/Bay/Und | Zion I rolls through the spot and brings the Hip Hop spotlight back to the Bay Area. They are true B-Boys to the fullest and its reflected in their rhymes and saucy beats. their subject matter is positive as they encourage folks to empower themselves and reach for higher levels. You can't helped but feel amped after listening to Zion I. Musically they bring some experimentation in the form of drum and bass type beats. This comes out in songs like 'Elevation' and 'Inner Light'.. Other tracks bring serious underground Hip Hop heat. The energetic, hard hittin' 'All The Way Live' which feature fellow Bay Area Hip Hoppers Rasco and Eclipse 427 and the piano ladden 'How Many' are perfect examples. Other tracks worth peeping that take this album over the top include 'Critical', 'Venus' and 'Revolution' which is their next single..Overall Zion I hits and no doubt will please headz from coast to coast and around the world.. | ||
